Donald Maks
CHARLO — Don Maks, 63, from Charlo passed away peacefully at home July 4, surrounded by his family, after a 12-year battle with multiple myeloma. Born in Black Diamond, Wash., he worked for the US Forest Service in Washington. He enjoyed many hobbies and loved his saddle mules. His wife Phyllis; two daughters Emily and Chris; and two beautiful grandchildren Olivia and Joseph survive him. An open-house “Celebration of Life” will be held Saturday, July 13, at his barn from 1-5 p.m. Potluck contributions welcome. Memorial donations should be made to: Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Relay for Life, and the American Cancer Society.
