POLSON — On July 20, the Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County will sponsor a Mud Run. The fun starts at 8 a.m. with racers going out in the order they register (first 10 runners will go out at 8 a.m. and so on…) Upon registering, participants will be given a “ball park” start time.
Races include an easy one-mile for small children (with parent or adult alongside). Children 12-years and under will be able to complete the course easily on their own. Older folks will be able to complete the course as well. The 5K race will be difficult and test everyone’s abilities. There will be no team events. However, participants can go as a group: friends, business, or church group; no penalty for helping others or skipping an obstacle if it proves to be too difficult. Participants are racing against themselves. Fastest times will be published.
Everyone who registers receives a T-shirt.
To register, call (406) 883-5623 or (406) 676-5437 or go to the Polson Animal Clinic on Kerr Dam Rd. or the Boys and Girls Club in either Ronan or Polson. Fees are $20 for children 9-years old and under, $40 for children 10-years old and over (if registered by July 20). If you register on race day the registration fee is $45.
