Attend a meeting, see for yourselves

Editor,
At the Tribal quarterly meeting held on July 5, during open session, several people had the floor and were asking questions about the Salazar Settlement. They were interrupted by councilman Ron Trahan stating, “You are all a bunch of greedy people.”
Some minutes later, the same councilman yelled, “I’ve heard enough of this bull****, I’m leaving,” and he stomped out of the council meeting.
I assumed that he would not be back to sit on council, as leaving the meeting in that way meant that he had quit. He was back to council meeting on July 9 and was served with a letter charging him with gross neglect of duty, misconduct and insensitivity to the Tribal people who elected him. He was asked to give a written response to these charges. Trahan’s only response to server was “thank you for your concern.” Chairman Durglo replied, “If we review it.”
Tribal members, make time to attend a council meeting or two, you’ll be very amazed and surprised to see how your councilmen treat their employers — you.
My eyes have been sadly opened.
