Editor,
The People's Voice, Inc. wants to assure the membership that we are continuing to meet on a regular basis and are actively pursuing through other avenues, the issue of the Council’s denial of our petition for the referendum vote on the Salazar Settlement money. We encourage those who are interested to attend our meetings on Monday evenings, 7 p.m., at the Methodist Church on top of Post Creek Hill, Highway 93.
We would like to commend everyone who has written letters to the media expressing their views on this issue. It’s refreshing to see increased awareness by the membership in their Tribal government. We are hopeful this interest will continue to grow. Knowledge is power. This is an opportune time to be thinking about the upcoming Tribal Council election and getting to know the candidates.
The People's Voice welcomes input from everyone and we will continue to attempt to keep the membership informed.
