Editor,
As we approach another new school year at the Mission Valley Christian Academy, we are excited about a number of new additions to our school. We have been blessed to hire five new educators to help us move toward accreditation. We also have many new families joining us and a new mentoring program for our younger teachers. There have been a number of various donations from community members and groups by which we have also benefited.
The Ronan Community Fellowship has been so gracious in storing our theater costumes and props for the last 15 years. Because they now need the space, our new storage shed will now allow us to have our resources right at the school.
The Polson Presbyterian Church allowed us to host a spaghetti feed in their fellowship hall to benefit the Dunn family. Jack Dunn was a former teacher at MVCA and lost his battle to cancer last month. MVCA staff, students and parents were instrumental in helping organize an event that raised $3,000 for Sue Dunn to help with the medical costs. Sue also taught at MVCA for many years and recently retired to care for Jack during his illness.
As always, we are grateful for our returning students and staff. The constant support of these families is such a blessing to MVCA. We have also received numerous donations to assist our scholarship program and welcome those tax deductible gifts to help us provide a quality Christian education for the students of our valley.
If you would like to partner with us financially, please call (406) 883-6858 to set up a time to visit. If you would like to see our school, stop by at 38907 Hwy 35 in Polson. For more information we also invite you to visit our school website at www.missionvalleychristianacademy.net
