Judge C.B. McNeil dealt with the following cases Wednesday, Aug. 7:

Arnold McDonald, 54, St. Ignatius, for violating conditions of probation and parole, had his five-year suspended sentence for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence revoked, a felony. McDonald was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for five years with no part suspended. Court recommends McDonald be considered for an in-patient chemical dependency program.

According to court documents, charges stem from a 2011 incident where McDonald had been arguing with a woman and pointed a gun at her head, then told her to tell the police it was a stick.

Crystal Butler (Metcalf), 39, Dixon, in a change of plea admitted committing criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony.

The court found her guilty. The court agreed to remove SCRAM pending sentencing, which is set for Thursday, Sept. 12 at 9 a.m.

According to court documents, charges stem from a September 2012 incident where a Lake County deputy found in Butler’s purse a syringe with residue of methamphetamine and methadone, plus several items of drug paraphernalia.

Jaren Schwab, 25, Polson, pleaded not guilty to burglary, a felony. An omnibus hearing is set for Thursday, Oct. 3 and a jury trial for Monday, Dec. 2. Both are set for 9 a.m.

According to court documents, charges stem from a June 27 incident where a deputy responded to a burglary call in Ronan, and found Schwab in the front yard with the female resident. She told the deputy that she had seen a blue truck parked in the road in front of her house. When she pulled in, she saw that her kitchen screen had been removed. When she entered her home, Schwab allegedly came walking out of her bedroom. Schwab told the deputy he thought he was at a friend’s house, and the friend had told him to get inside however he could; but Schwab could not come up with the friend’s name. After arresting Schwab and placing him in the patrol car, the resident walked through the home and noticed several items and some $2 bills were missing. Her jewelry box was found in the front seat of the blue truck.

Anthony Coble, 30, Missoula, pleaded not guilty to three counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, all felonies. An omnibus hearing is set for Thursday, Oct. 17 and a jury trial for Monday, Dec. 16.

According to court documents, charges stem from a July 31 incident where a Lake County deputy did a probation search on Coble’s vehicle in Polson, and located a zip lock baggie and a sandwich bag containing hallucinogenic mushrooms containing the dangerous drug lysergic acid. He also found LSD and ecstasy pills. Coble told the deputy the pills and mushrooms belonged to him.

William Gopher, 18, St. Ignatius, was sentenced to 30 days in the Lake County Jail — or successfully complete in-patient treatment within  120 days, which would satisfy the jail requirement — for criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony.

John Michael Erickson, Jr., 46, Polson, was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for four years, all suspended, with the condition that Erickson follow all recommendations of mental health and actively participate in the program. In July, Erickson had his suspended sentence revoked for using methamphetamine.

Danielle Sloan, 41, Polson, was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for seven years with two years suspended for theft of identity after her suspended sentence was revoked. Sloan violated conditions of parole and probation and had her suspended sentence revoked in June 2013.

According to court documents, charges stem from a June 2011 incident where a woman reported her debit card was missing. Further investigation revealed several ATM withdrawals in Polson. Sloan was caught on closed-circuit recording using the ATM to make withdrawals at a bank and a casino in Polson. Sloan had been the woman’s caretaker for just five days before Sloan quit.
