Editor,
Someone is shooting and killing livestock while they stand in their fields on their property.
In July of this year and on Aug. 8 of this year, two of my llamas were shot and killed while standing on my property in the northwest corner next to Grizzly Hollow Lane on top of East Post Creek Road. This is the location that they have traditionally stood for years.
They both were shot from the same direction or near Post Creek Road or Grizzly Hollow Lane. The bullets came from the northwest direction going southeast.
On Aug. 10, Tom Hayes, from Tribal Fish and Game, came to investigate the cause of my llamas’ deaths and determined that no wild animal attack was detected in the killing of both of my llamas. No evidence of bear or mountain lion was present. Both llamas were healthy the day before and they fell dead right where they stood and no tracks were present to indicate animal attacks at these locations.
Mr. Hayes indicated that the trajectory of the bullets that killed my livestock was in direct line of my home and poses great danger to my family.
Any information regarding persons shooting near my home would be greatly appreciated, and please keep a lookout for persons shooting animals/livestock. Just be aware of this information for your safety.
