Judge C.B. McNeil dealt with the following cases Wednesday, Sept. 4

Robert Charles Wyman, 65, Ferndale, pleaded not guilty to assault with a weapon, a felony; partner or family member assault, a misdemeanor; criminal production or manufacture of dangerous drugs, a felony; stalking, a felony; and solicitation (criminal distribution of dangerous drugs), a felony. An omnibus hearing is set for Wednesday, Oct. 23 and a jury trial for Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

According to court documents, charges stem from a June 17 incident where Wyman allegedly pointed a revolver at his wife and threatened to kill her. He then allegedly beat her, threatening her not to call the police or he would kill her before they arrived. She secretly had a friend call for help, and left the residence. When a deputy arrived she warned the deputy that Wyman had threatened to shoot at police, so law enforcement entered the house and arrested Wyman and found the revolver. Wyman told police he had put his wife in a headlock but blamed her black eye on the dog. Deputies then found and retrieved 45 marijuana plants from the home. The wife was granted an order of protection in which Wyman was not to contact the wife, but on two occasions later he allegedly called her demanding his “weed” or he would call the cops on her.
