POLSON – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a non-compliant sex offender that has been evaluated as a “sexually violent predator,” according to undersheriff Dan Yonkin.

Phillip Pierre Jr. is a  51-year-old Native American male and five feet, 10 inches tall. He weighs approximately 200 pounds and sometimes wears glasses. He has a rose tattoo on his chest. Pierre’s original conviction in 1991 was for Sexual Intercourse Without Consent, according to Yonkin. Pierre was arrested and charged in May 2012 for not registering his address. Yonkin said Pierre took a plea bargain in the case, which required him to register again.

Recent checks determined Pierre is not living at his last registered Ronan address. He also has registered in Polson before. Yonkin said deputies have been searching for Pierre for awhile now. Pierre is classified as a Tier Three sex offender, which means he has been evaluated as at high risk to repeat the offense and a threat to public safety. By state law Tier Three offenders must register their address within three days of relocating and must update their address every 90 days.

The public is asked to contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office with any information as to the current whereabouts of Phillip Pierre Jr. at (406) 883-7301.
