ST. IGNATIUS — The St Ignatius Senior Citizens Center is extremely grateful for the van recently donated to it by the Lower Flathead Valley Community Foundation. The 15-passenger van will be used for a number of purposes, including trips to museums, activities, shopping, etc.

The car that was stolen from the center was found on a county road but it was vandalized to point it was not worth repairing.

The Lake County Health Department will give flu shots in the St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m.-noon. Seniors are asked to bring their Medicare cards with them. The center’s annual fall rummage sale will be held from Tuesday, Oct. 8-Friday, Oct. 11. A bake sale will also be held on that Friday. Guitarists and singers Tim Krantz and Tom Kraug will entertain diners at the Wednesday, Oct. 16, evening meal. The public is invited to come to all of the center’s meals.

Since there are five Mondays in September, pinochle will be played for a second time this month in the center on Monday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. In the most recent pinochle session, Marian Sands won high, Lyle Hilfigure took low, Joyce Siers won pinochle and Judy Penfield won the door prize.
