Editor,
I support Bob Fulton for mayor for the City of Polson.
Wake up Polson, in a few days you will be receiving in the U.S. mail a ballot to vote for a mayor for the City of Polson. You will be given choice for Polson to move ahead with an open government or stay status quo. As you all are aware, more new businesses are locating within the city limits of Polson. Why? Because they see a potential for growth for their business here in your backyard.
Understanding this growth must be governed by a qualified person. Bob Fulton has all the perquisite and qualifications to fulfill this position as mayor. His past experiences as Polson city engineer and being well acquainted with the operations of the Polson City government to support this growth, which will require increase in public services. For example, ensure your fire and police protection, water and sewage services are not degraded, keep your property taxes low as low as possible, and most important provide an open Government.
As you are aware the Polson City Council has just hired a new city administrator. He will need an experienced person with knowledge of Polson City’s government day-to-day operations to assist him in ensuring the city will operate within its budget and most of all provide an open government to the taxpayers of Polson. Bob Fulton as mayor will do that.
I have known Bob for several years. As a co-volunteer worker and member of the board for the Polson Loves & Fish Pantry, Bob Fulton has provided more than 40 hours a month volunteering at the pantry.
Finally, I have served with Bob Fulton as a member for the Lake City/County Planning Board for the past three years. It has been a great experience to work with him as chairman of this board. His leadership and knowledge of the city and county government has been an asset for me to perform my duties as a board member.
Please vote for Bob Fulton for mayor.
Merle Parise
