Justice of the Peace Joey Jayne dealt with the following cases Sept. 27-Oct. 10:

Brian Moderie, 23, pleased no contest to possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21, over age 18, second offense. The court accepted the plea and fined Moderie $100 plus $85 in court costs.

Arnold Ray Clark, 61, pleaded not guilty to violation of a protective order. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended, and fined $500 plus $85 in court costs.

Erica B. Vigil, 23, pleaded not guilty to driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 day in jail with 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $85 in court costs.

David Anthony Siegfried, 54, pleaded not guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of .08 percent or greater, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.

Thomas T. West, 33, pleaded guilty to permitting swine, sheet or goats to run at large. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.

James Harrison Pierce, 57, pleaded not guilty to speeding. He was found guilty and fined $70.

Christopher Elvans Keyler, 52, forfeited a $50 bond for operating a motorboat or vessel for towing without an observer. He was also charged $35 in court costs.

Trevor Adam Wadsworth, 21, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, third or subsequent offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.

John L. Best, 33, pleaded guilty to assault. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail and fined $350 plus $85 in court costs.

Kai Tommy Nielsen, 44, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs. Nielsen also pleaded guilty to a seatbelt violation. He was found guilty and fined $20. In a separate incident, Nielsen forfeited another $20 bond for a seatbelt violation.

Jason Allen Campbell, 30, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for following too closely.

Mark Earl Burnham, 66, forfeited a $30 bond for speeding and forfeited a $50 bond for displaying fictitious, altered license plates. He was also charged a total of $70 in court costs.

Colleen Marie Buck, 45, pleaded guilty to operating with expired registration, failure to reregister. She was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.

Katie Lyn Joerger, 27, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 365 days in jail with 275 suspended, and can serve her time on house arrest. She was also fined $600 plus $85 in court costs.

William Arthur Schwarz, 60, pleaded not guilty to improper passing. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.

Cassandra C. Buchholtz, 20, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. In addition, Buchholtz pleaded guilty to speeding, was found guilty, and was fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.

Amber Maddalena, 20, pleaded not guilty to speeding. She was found guilty and fined $85 plus $35 in court costs.

Andrew Wilson, Jr., 30, forfeited a $50 bond for improper passing, plus $35 in court costs.

Katrina J. Sherlock, 43, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended, and fined $350 plus $85 in court costs. Sherlock also pleaded not guilty to owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $200 plus $35 in court costs.

Ronald Dean Hattel, 52, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.

Devin Rey Handry-Callis, 18, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, third or subsequent offense. He was found guilty and sentenced to 10 days in jail with eight suspended. He was also fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.

Arlene Altizer Drake, 74, forfeited a $50 bond plus $35 in court costs for careless driving.

Gary Gene Ambrose, 44, forfeited a $125 bond plus $35 in court costs for operating a vehicle with weight greater than the maximum authorized.

Marsha Louise Coldiron, 68, forfeited a $50 bond plus $35 in court costs for failing to yield right of way. 

Robert Roy Warren, 46, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.

Dale Dean Dursma, 69, forfeited a $50 bond plus $35 in court costs for operating a vehicle whose gross laden weight exceeds gross vehicle weight on owner certificate. 

La Nita Booth Fitzpatrick, 46, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.

Timothy Smeltzer, 49, pleaded guilty to criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $100 plus $85 in court costs.

The following people forfeited bonds for speeding: Kathryn Renee Nardo, 60, $50 plus $35 in court costs; Joshua David Olson, 23, $20 plus $35 in court costs; Ian Lawrence Graham, 29, $20 plus $35 in court costs; Steven M. Fainter, 37, $60 plus $35 in court costs; Morgan A. Hirschenberger, 35, $20; Starla L. Robinson, 56, $20 plus $35 in court costs; Amanda Lee Joe, 32, $40; Brad Jay Reedstrom, 47, $50 plus $35 in court costs; Gayle Marie Crane, 73, $20 plus $35 in court costs; Scott Wesmer Edgerton, 54, $20 plus $20 for an additional speeding violation; Michael Jason White, 28, $50 plus $35 in court costs; Christy Ann Fryberger, 40, $20; William Franklin Brymer, 29, $60 plus $35 in court costs; James Sandford Kinniburgh, 42, $20 plus $35 in court costs.
