POLSON – The Lady Pirates had a tough week on the volleyball court. Thursday brought Frenchtown to Polson and with them a 0-3 loss for the Lady Pirates. Though the Lady Pirates played three close sets 17-25, 19-25, and 24-26, they just couldn’t grab a win against the overpowering Lady Broncs.
Polson seniors Jessica Hoel and Chloie Huerta led the Lady Pirates in kills with 8 a piece and junior Libero Taylor Davis came away with 13 digs.
On Saturday the Lady Pirates didn’t fare much better with a 0-3 loss to Whitefish, although once again boasting close set scores 17-25, 21-25, 22-25.
Juniors Jaiden Toth and Taylor Toth each logged 10 digs and Jessica Hoel knocked down 10 of Polson’s 28 kills.
Polson will compete in the Missoula City Invitational tournament Oct. 17-18.
