RONAN - The Maidens smashed through their opponents Friday, grabbing a 3-0 win against Troy.

Christine Robinson laid down four of the Maiden’s 12 aces and also matched Danielle Richwine in digs with 10. Alaina Madsen showed her aggressive side at the net with 12 kills.

The Maidens hosted Thompson Falls on Saturday coming away with a 3-1, hard earned victory.

Richwine lit a fire on the court with four aces and had an outstanding defensive stance with 26 digs. Kendra Starkel led the Maidens with eight kills and also served up four aces.

Though Coach Adrienna DeCock is pleased with the girls’ play, she feels that there’s still work to be done.

“The girls are playing tough and looking good heading into the post season,” DeCock said. “We just need to eliminate service errors as well as offensive errors to match our defensive game,” she said.

The Maidens will meet Loyola in Missoula Oct. 17.
