Clark H. Joy
RONAN - Clark H. Joy, 96, passed away Sept. 20. Clark was born July 4, 1914 near Pompey’s Pillar to Ruby and Warren Joy. He grew up with a sister, LaVange, and brothers Lloyd, Arles and Elwood.
Clark married Bertha Zimmerman in 1934 and worked in the lumber industry in Kalispell, Polson and later at Plum Creek.
In 2000 Clark remarried Elda Cordier-Umphrey.
He was preceded in death by Bertha and stepdaughter Laura Hauck.
Clark is survived by his wife Elda; children Robert Joy, Donna (Joy) Hedge, Clara (Joy) Sayles and Ronald Joy; his stepchildren Faye (Larry) Garlock, Mike (Valerie), Kenneth, John & Jim Umphrey; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren as well as Elda’s grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in Ronan.
