POLSON — About 15 local artists signed up for the Plein Air Paintout on Sept. 11, which turned out to be sunny. The group gathered at Riverside Park at 9 a.m. but then scattered, with some going to the Travis Dolphin Dog Park, one man going to the Polson Fly-In and four artists remaining at Riverside Park.
Marje Grinde said she got a late start and decided to stay at the park as did Nancy Miller.
Miller is not a plein air artist, but she said, “I thought I’d just try.”
At 5 p.m. the group brought their paintings back to Riverside Park for display. The artists joined plein air painters from around the world for the eighth International Plein Air Paintout.
