Faithful Polson supporter passes away

POLSON — We received news this week that we have lost a friend and faithful supportive member of the center. Tom Cahill passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Rehabilitation Facility. We extend our sympathy to Tom’s adopted family, Fred and Sandy Funke and kids and thank them for watching over Tom. I know he appreciated it.
The preparation for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner is coming right along. We can still use donations of dinner rolls, pies, salads and volunteers are always needed. If you would like to donate food or your time, please give us a call and we’ll put you on our list. Also, if you need a ride to the center on Thanksgiving or would like a meal or two delivered on that day, give us a call and we’ll get you taken care of.
Our Mary has been in the hospital since Monday morning and is doing as well as she can at this time. We hope she will be back with us soon, sitting at her quilt and sewing up a storm. So “Get Well Mary, we miss you down here.”
The See’s Candy boxes are flying off the shelves, so if you are in need of a nice box of candy, stop by the center and pick one or more up. They are $17 for a one-pound box and we have “Assorted” and “Nuts and Chews.” They make a very nice gift.
There are no bowling scores for this week. We will try again next week.
I guess that we are supposed to get some of that white stuff this weekend, so stay warm, stay in, watch for the ice and think sunshine. See you all next week.
