WARNER ROBBINS, GA — S&K Aerospace received a $7.2 million extension of an Air Force contract on Nov. 19 that will allow the company’s Georgia office to continue working on Saudi Arabian aircraft for the next 13 months.
Tom Avadeo, vice president of S&K Aerospace said the company began working on classified components of F-15 aircraft for Saudi Arabia two years ago.
“In Saudi Arabia, they’ll pull a component off the aircraft,” Avadeo said. “They send it to us and we send it to get repaired and send it back to them. “
The work being done is on 72 F-15s bought by the Saudi Arabians in the 1990s from the United States.
“One of our key customers has always been Saudi Arabia,” Avadeo said.
S&K Aerospace is one of six subsidiary businesses of S&K Technologies, a company owned by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. S&K Aerospace has offices across the United States and the world.
