Editor,
I am writing this letter concerning the Salish and Kooteani Tribes on the Flathead Reservation.
So many concerns about our Tribal Government and it seems to me that the enrolled members are not concerned at all about all that has happened over the past year.
They now have their chance to start changing things but it looks like the tribal members are happy with the way things are going. The reason I am saying this is because they are thinking of voting to keep some of their Council people in, the very ones who voted against what you wanted done.
The ones who will stand up in front of you and call you names at a meeting, such as “white people,” and “greedy” and so on are the ones who receive paychecks and they don’t care about the ones who are truly having a hard time making ends meet.
I cannot believe that certain tribal members can get away with the way they say things to their own people, more or less against their own ... but yet let someone else say anything like that and they will be asked to leave the meeting.
So my point is ... if you choose to put the same people back in charge, then there should be no complaining about anything.
You will get what you voted for, it is that plain and simple.
