Final week to complete Christmas shopping

RONAN — With only a week left, I hope you have all of your Christmas shopping done. We will be closed on Christmas Day and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy the holidays.
Last Thursday was our evening meal and we had 62 people in attendance. We held drawings for the holiday baskets and the winners were Beth Preston, Pat Cousins and Julie Decker. A big thanks goes to all who either bought tickets and/or made donations.
On Wednesday, Dec. 18, ham will be served for our Christmas dinner. On that same day the foot clinic starts at 10 a.m. and goes until noon.
Our birthday dinner for December is on Friday, Dec. 27. Come on in and join us for a great meal of roast beef. The band will also be here for your listening pleasure.
Our menu for the month is:
• Wednesday, Dec. 18: ham
• Friday, Dec. 20: ham and bean soup
• Monday, Dec. 23: sausage gravy and biscuits
• Wednesday, Dec. 25: we are closed
• Friday, Dec. 27: roast beef
• Monday, Dec. 30: beef stew
This past year has been a busy one here at the center. With budget cuts we have been receiving less funding and have had to rely more on raising money to fund our programs. We would like to thank all you who have helped us with this. A special thanks goes to all of the volunteers who spent countless hours running these fundraisers. We could not have done it without you. Your help is greatly appreciated.
