News from the Lake County Pachyderm Club

POLSON — James Kiser, CEO of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, will be the featured speaker at the Friday, Jan. 10 meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club. He will speak on the state of healthcare and St. Joseph’s position in regard to a new clinic being constructed in Polson by Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Highlights from Kiser’s career include his service as Chief Operating Officer of Providence St. Peter Hospital, a 390 licensed bed facility in Olympia, Wash., and President and CEO of St. James Healthcare, Butte, where he oversaw a $60 million facility expansion.

He achieved “Most Improved Patient Satisfaction Scores” in the nation as measured by Avatar, receiving the “Exceeding Patient Expectations” award for five consecutive years.

Kiser has a history of mission service to a variety of large Catholic health care systems and is recognized for his demonstrated experience as a collaborator, skilled businessman, and courageous leader.

Pachyderms meet at the Polson Rural Fire Department building west of the bridge on Regatta Road. Social time begins at 11:30 a.m. with the business meeting starting at noon. Everyone interested in learning about this issue is cordially invited to attend.
