ST. IGNATIUS — A saddle quilt, baby quilts, Christmas quilts, batik quilts, all sorts of quilts hung on racks at Kay and Kenneth Krantz’s place about a half-a-mile south of St. Ignatius.

Kay is a member of Ayleen’s Thursday Quilters, and the group sponsored the outdoor quilt show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 24 during Good Old Days.

The open show attracted about 82 entries according to Kay. It was also the group’s first outdoor show and a successful one since they sold seven quilts.

The ladies also held a flea market with all manner of fabric, quilting books and magazines, craft items, notions, trim, batting, lamps, quilt frames, gift objects and even some clothing for sale.

There was even a table piled high with free jeans.

Kay and the other quilters wanted to thank all the people who helped in any way and came to view the quilts.

Another outdoor quilt show is a possibility, Kay said, although it won’t be during Good Old Days.
