Taking flack over target

Editor,
Flack. My dad flew B24s in WWII. He hated flack. But I grew up with the phrase “If you ain’t taking flack, you ain’t over the target.” Well, I must be over the target, ‘cause both Dick and Susan Lake would appear to be enamored with my name, as they use it often enough. Well, flack away, my sillies.
I would guess that Dick comes from the Katie Couric school of journalism: the “some people are saying” or “some people feel that ...” or “a number of critics think ...” approach, that simply allows them to impose whatever they believe in an article as fact. Dick has his own facts. He won’t quote me. He thinks he knows exactly what I meant, or what he might like me to say. Typical of the oath-repudiating flackful liberals: create a false issue, and make believe that you have the only solution.
Susan says don’t believe me, or Gene, and certainly not Susan. Go to the DNRC site and read. I said that two years ago. And the DNRC site is there in print in the Missoulian. Want to really read some sound and sane stuff, go to the Concerned Citizens of Western Montana web site. I can’t print that web site here. The Missoulian will censor it, like they did last time.
Oh, by the way, the B24 is also known as the “Liberator.” Flack away, my sillies.
