Editor,

Bob McClellan wrote that the Republicans should worry about the 2016 election. I say the Democrats should be concerned about 2014.

McClellan says that Obamacare is “creating real opportunity to restructure the way we finance and deliver health care in America.”  That statement is absurd. I spent my entire business career in the health care insurance industry, and what is happening today is appalling. No health care professional I have talked with, past or present, supports Obamacare. To call Obamacare an abomination is charitable. In 2014, in my opinion, there will not be one contested race in the House or Senate where the Democrat will support Obamacare, or campaign with Obama. That says it all.

McClellan says we should “stop bringing up the Sept. 11 attack at Benghazi.” My son recently retired after a 20-year career as a Navy SEAL. The two former SEALs who were killed in the Benghazi terror attack were his good friends. They had all served together on multiple missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The night of the attack these two former SEALs resisted the invaders. They fought until their ammunition ran out. They fought to their death. The valiant efforts of these two men saved the lives of over 120 Americans and embassy personnel.

Almost immediately both Obama and Clinton were notified by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and Secretary of Defense about details of the attack. Immediately Obama and Clinton disappeared, but resurfaced within 48 hours claiming for days and even weeks that the “Benghazi incident” was caused by an “anti-Muslim video.” Their actions and denials regarding this loss of life are disgraceful and despicable.

McClellan boasts that Clinton will “make mincemeat out of anyone going after her.” He seems to take pride in her heartless behavior and thoughtless comment about “what difference does it make?” I’m sure it makes a lot of difference to those who lost their loved one. What Clinton needs to be concerned about is the fact that Navy SEALs are known for not ignoring the needless death of their brothers. The truth will prevail in this case. SEALs do not forget, ever.
