Editor,
Bob McClellan, in his recent contribution to the Valley Journal, gives an in-depth review of what the Republican Party needs to do to become viable. Since Bob’s position in regards to Republicans predates the administration of President Bush the younger, I must conclude that he basically wants Republicans to become Democrats. Bob’s hard-hitting analysis of the Bush presidency, along with Bush’s goons, always was given in detail. No alleged truth was beyond his scrutiny. Well, Bob, how about applying some of that gifted clarity to the current White House resident. Benghazi was a terrorist attack on the U.S.; Americans were killed for political reasons and in the name of Allah. Hillary Clinton was involved. Yes, she may be elected president, but not on the grounds that she is honest, qualified, and possessing of high moral character; she would be elected by hero worshipers, elitists and die-hard believers that take the position that if federal government is good, big federal government is better. In your articles you claim a religious background, so certainly you recall the Old Testament lesson of Israel asking God for a king so they could be like everyone else. How did that work out?
My advice to Republicans is radically different, but basically simple. Start acting like Republicans. God first, the Constitution second and a healthy distrust of do-gooders disguised as public servants who will gladly serve you for the right price, namely your freedom and Constitutional rights. Furthermore, do not attempt to re-write the Constitution or the laws of God on which it is founded. Get runaway government bureaucracy under elected control and never forget your public service is given by the people and for the people. Honor them as they, by the will of God, have honored you through election.
