Editor,
I have moved some hand lines and wheel lines in my time but most of what I have done for the last 30 years is row boats and guide fishing trips. One of the things I have learned during that time is that fish like water. And generally the more water, the more fish. Thanks to the opponents of the water compact I think there is going to be a lot more water for fish. The unsubstantiated howlings of these folks will accomplish what numerous fishing advocacy organizations have been trying to accomplish for years. I am so thankful for this that I would like to recommend naming some boat ramps after them to honor their endeavors no matter how misguided. Notable among them: Michael Gale, Lloyd Ingraham and Chris Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan in particular for his convoluted reasoning and for extending the hand of friendship while trying to take more and more from the tribes. Thanks to their effort, they will have more time on their hands (since they won’t be irrigating). I would like to offer to take them fishing. Good job men. Fish on.
