Michael Troy Pierce

RONAN — Michael (Mikey) Troy Pierce was granted his angel wings and went home to God on Saturday May 8th, 2010. He was the tender age of 22. He was born in Missoula to Donald and Kelly Pierce.

Mikey graduated from Billings West High School in 2006. He moved back to the Mission Valley to work with his father at D&M Repair. He enjoyed hiking in the Mission Mountains, riding his mountain bike as often as he could, camping, boating, and being outdoors with family and friends.

You could always find Mikey out in the shop fixing and tinkering with his cars and toys. He had an amazing imagination with which he designed and fabricated his own creations and earned the name “Mikegyver.”

He enjoyed his crazy adventures with his closest friends Andy McCaughin, JT Clarkin, Bernard Hakes, Josh Friend, Nick Coulter, and his Uncle, Adam Pierce. Mikey had a contagious personality and smile and could make anyone laugh, especially his mommy. The day his son was born was the proudest day of his life. He was an amazing son, father, and the greatest brother in the world to his “little big” sister Leach.

Michael is survived by his parents, Kelly Pierce Helm (William) and Donald Pierce (Sue), his son Troy, sisters Alicia (Leach) Pierce, Annesha Taylor, brothers DJ, Leonard, and Brandon Pierce, the love of his life and mother of his child, Cassie Normandeau, and her two awesome boys Daniel and Brent. Grandparents Jack and Marilyn Athearn, Leonard and Connie Pierce, Chickee Gingras, and Linda Pulse, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, and a large extended family.

He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Phillip O. Voight, Aunt Janet Pierce, and his namesake Michael D. Plouffe.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held on Thursday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Terrace Lake Road in Ronan. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for Mikey’s son, Troy, has been set up at the Community Banks of the Ronan area.
