Attention Mission and Jocko-Arlee Irrigators:
Your taxes are due on May 31. This is a reminder to “pay in protest” the increase of $6.35 in administration fees on your tax statement.
These increases were imposed on us by former commissioners to pay their consultant and attorney fees. By “paying in protest” this will give the new commissioners time to sort out which expenses need to be paid, and which are excessive and unacceptable. Your administrative fees are set in August, the recall of the commissioners was not done in time to reduce the admin fees for this tax period.
The tax protest forms for Lake, Missoula and Sanders County are available at the Courthouse if you pay in person, or at Mission Valley Properties in St. Ignatius. Questions?
