I am 88. I am blessed to be just one of the countless persons who benefit directly from the services provided by Senior Citizens Council on Aging in Lake County. Cheerful volunteers no farther away than my telephone arrange for transportation, when necessary, to my doctors and optometrist as far away as Missoula and Kalispell.
Nutritious meals on wheels are delivered to my door by more cheerful volunteers when the weather is inclement or poor health prevents from joining the more able-bodied senior citizens in the Charlo Senior Citizens Center.
The camaraderie and laughter contribute immeasurably to my well being.
One does not have to be 88 nor disabled to share in these benefits. The number of persons over the age of 65 continues to grow.
For the blessings of sharing your well being, I urge you to vote “yes” in support of the levy funding Lake County Council on Aging.
