Editor,

Lovers of this beautiful land known as the Mission Valley: Alas, we come to another season of letters written by people who lend their names to support, or not support the fine and not so fine folks running for office. One wonders if said writers think even for a moment whether or not their endorsement will help or hinder the candidate.

Example one self-important such person is not even able to cooperate with three other users of a large irrigation system. He shut down water to 70 cows and calves. Tore our the means of delivery of said water, all without notification to the people on the line, ditch rider or reclamation manager, so he could fix his one or two inch pipe because, he had the right. He is a newcomer, and is endorsing other newcomer for county commissioner, another for house seat 93 and is against any cooperative agreement between the people who have, after many years been able to come to something we can all live peaceably with. This guy’s endorsement needs serious scrutiny, his endorsees seems to have the same, change it to where they came from idea, maybe they should go back to wherever that is, or maybe they can’t. If they were so important there why did leave, makes you wonder.

I guess what I’m trying to say is voters you are smart. Make up your own minds. You know troublemakers when you see them, you know buddy systems, vote them out. Vote for people who you know, love ‘em or not, they want what’s best for all people. Don’t let others come here bringing their troublemaking agendas with them, if all their experience was somewhere else check it out. (Newcomer: 20 years or less).

One more thing: vote as many times as you can.
