JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (Fallen Patriots), is partnering with cities across the country in declaring May 13 as Children of Fallen Patriots Day.
The Foundation hopes this day serves to remind people of the more than 15,000 children who have lost a parent to combat over the last 25 years. The organization provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
Established in 2002, Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is dedicated to providing college scholarships, supplemental grants and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Since its inception, Fallen Patriots has extended nearly $7 million in grants that have been awarded to more than 400 children attending universities throughout the United States.
