Financial help from community provides food for hungry neighbors

The Board Members and Volunteer Staff of the Bread Basket wish to thank all of you in the community who have given your generous support to the success of the food pantry who serves Ronan, Pablo, Charlo and Moiese. Because of your financial help, we can purchase food staples of both canned and dry goods. A special thanks goes to all those who have spent time volunteering at the Bread Basket and to the businesses, churches, and organizations who give us financial support throughout the year. This year an extra thank you goes not only to our local telephone company but also to the rural mail carriers of our communities who have once again collected food to share with those in need. Thank you. We are so fortunate to live in a community that cares for their neighbors.
The Bread Basket continues serving around 200 or more families a month. Some food comes from government programs; a lot of the food comes from donations including the meat given out and during the summer and fall and wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables from private gardens. Yet, we still need to purchase some of the food that goes to our hungry neighbors. Without the financial help of our community we would be unable to provide the needed food to share.
We have designated June and July as our fund-raising months. Would you consider giving the Bread Basket a financial contribution at this time? Any amount would be appreciated.
We appreciate the immediate response to our difficulty in providing milk for our families. These designated funds have provided milk for many of our families through the winter. Please remember to write “milk fund” on your check so we may continue this valuable program.
