Editor,

Why am I not surprised to find that we have neighbors in Polson who believe it to be perfectly ethical to hide any land title problems from potential buyers here Lake County? Why would we want anyone from somewhere else to know that property they “might” be interested in up here might come with no water rights.

I thought property without water had no intrinsic value. So now, writing and educating those who should be interested and concerned locally, about the ongoing Water Rights issues and the tribal lawsuits against the non-tribal members of Lake County Society is in bad taste when viewed by those who want or need to depart the area and are expecting to make a killing from the sale of their residence.

I get it; hush, hush sweet Charlotte. Show some respect for your neighbors who find it difficult to deal with the truth and prefer to make a nefarious profit off of unsuspecting potential new real estate buyers to the area.

Water rights? Oh, don’t worry about that, it will be sorted out someday. Property values without water; oh, that could never happen here. No, no, don’t bother reading the Tribal lawsuit: http://westernmtwaterrights.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/cskt-compalint-022014.pdf against everyone on the Rez (John Doe’s). Why would anyone want to know what they are being sued for in this day and age? Why would an affected seller want to hide it and why would a potential buyer not want to know about it?

We need to respect our neighbors and perpetrate a hoax on our future neighbors. I get it.
