PHS homecoming events announced

POLSON — Expect to see Polson High School students and faculty showing some school spirit since this is 2011 Homecoming Week at PHS.

This year’s theme is “Break the Broncs.”

Dress up days for the PHS students are:
Monday: Nerd Day
Tuesday: Time Machine with freshmen in 50s gear, sophomores donning 60s dress, juniors in 70s attire and seniors rocking the 80s
Wednesday: Wild, Wild West
Thursday: Color Wars with freshmen wearing yellow, sophomores green, juniors red and seniors blue
Friday: Spirit Day/purple and gold

Before the parade and football game on Friday, a homecoming assembly will be held in PHS Gym from 1:05 to 2:20 p.m.

Then the annual Homecoming Parade will begin at 2:30 p.m., beginning at PHS, passing Polson Middle School and Cherry Valley School then heading down Main Street and ending at Linderman Gym at 3 p.m.

The Lady Pirates kick off the week’s three home games with volleyball on Thursday at Linderman gym. They’ll meet the Columbia Falls Wildkats.

On Friday the Polson Pirates football team takes the field at the PHS Sports Complex against the Frenchtown Broncs.

Both the Lady Pirates and Pirates soccer teams face the Libby Loggers on Saturday at the PHS Sports Complex. At halftime of the football game, Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.

Senior candidates are Riley Kenney and Clark Rubel, juniors are Mackenzie Clay and Josiah Clairmont, sophomores are Ashley Johnson and Tyler Krell and frosh candidates are Mackenzie Wegner and Vincent DiGiallonardo.
