SKC fundraiser aimed at music program
PABLO — The Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation and Salish Kootenai College Foundation will present ‘Strum & Drum’ on Thursday, March 12, from 7-9 p.m. at the Johnny Arlee/Victor Charlo Theatre. This fundraising event targets raising awareness of a new collaborative effort to build a music education program at SKC. SKC will promote a beginning guitar class for next quarter, as well as offering prestigious scholarships for their students. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $5 for students with ID (SKC students will receive $5 in Bison Bucks). For tickets and more information, call (406) 275-4983.

PABLO — Lake County Democrats are sponsoring an information meeting on early childhood education on Wednesday, March 18, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Theater on the Salish Kootenai College campus. Panelists will include Caroline McDonald, Coordinator of Best Beginnings Children’s Partnership; Joan Graham, Special Services Director for the Ronan Schools; Jeanne Christopher, CSKT Director of Early Childhood Services; and Lisa Wall-Wilbert, Director of Fun and Fancy Free Learning Center. ECE Screenings held in Pablo
PABLO – The CSKT Early Childhood Services Community Child Screening Day for children ages 0-5 will take place at the College Drive Head Start, 35639 Stanger Loop, on Friday, March 20, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be newborn behavioral observations; health screenings; DIAL-4 Screenings; child health and development information; participation gifts; and snacks and lunch.
