Republican women host discussion on drug task force
PABLO — Polson Police Chief Wade Nash and the Lake County Drug Task Force will be featured guests at the Monday, April 15, meeting of the Lake County Republican Women to be held at the Three Wolves Cafeteria on the Salish-Kootenai College campus.
They will discuss the mission and function of the Lake County Drug Taskforce as well as review the status of drug use and traffic in Lake County.
The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the opportunity to order lunch. The business meeting will begin at noon and conclude at 1 p.m. The speakers’ program will last approximately 40 minutes. Anyone interested in learning about this critical issue is cordially invited to attend.

Public TV to celebrate 25th anniversary
PABLO — On April 18, KSKC Public TV will begin its 25th anniversary celebration with an open house and tours of the station, poetry reading, snacks, and an appearance by the Big Red Dog of PBS program fame. Events will take place from 3-7 p.m. in the D’Arcy McNickle Library building on the campus of SKC.

KSKC anniversary celebration concludes
PABLO — On April 19 the KSKC 25th anniversary celebration concludes with events in the Johnny Arlee/Victor Charlo Theatre in Pablo from 6:30-9 p.m. A history of KSKC, student video screening, recognition of VIPs, snacks, giveaways, a coloring contest display, the Bison Mascot and musical entertainment will be featured.

Tribal Social Services to host family forum
PABLO —The Tribal Social Services Department and SKC Community Health and Development is hosting a family forum for all community members from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the SKC Joe McDonald Gymnasium on Saturday, April 27. The forum includes free family portraits, free lunch, free childcare, resources, gifts and educational presentations.
The theme for the forum is “Family Structures Impact Child Development” and it is to encourage community members to build relationships with each other and service providers in our community. Community members will have a chance to receive educational presentations and learn about the resources and events in their community that benefit families.
