POLSON — The annual Fall Bazaar and luncheon is being held at the United Methodist Church, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E, on Friday, Nov. 3. Lunch menu offers soup, sandwich, apple dumpling topped with ice cream from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Art, crafts, baked goods will be sold from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. All proceeds benefit local and church-wide Mission Outreach.

Polson — Northwest Accordion Jam is the first Sunday of each month. All singers, players, viewers and dancers are welcome to join in from 2-5 p.m. at the Elks Club on Main St. Bring your guitars, drums, saxophones, accordions, etc. and join us.

POLSON — “Sparkle On,” an adult coloring program, will be held at North Lake County Public Library in Polson on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 2:30 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. The theme of this pre-holiday program is “all things glittery.” A new trend in the world of coloring relaxation is Paint by Sticker. There will be projects available to try, along with coloring supplies and tasty fall snacks. If you have some sparkly jewelry, wear it to the program. The library is located at 2 First Ave. E. POLSON — Zen Meditation Class is being offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main St., on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. The classes will be presented by Zen Priest Zenku, Jerry Smyers.  There is no charge for the class. Everyone is welcome. For more details call 406-847-721-0665

POLSON — A community meeting for the Mission Valley will be held on Nov. 8, from 1-2:30 p.m. at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. The Headwaters Health Foundation of Western Montana invites you to a community conversation about health care-related challenges and opportunities in Mission Valley and surrounding area. Share your perspective in two areas: behavioral health and social determinants of health, particularly as they relate to children and American Indian populations - why are these the right issues for the Foundation to tackle - what strengths does our community bring to these issues - of the roles a foundation can play (grant maker, community organizer, knowledge sharer, etc.), which are the most important to support your community? POLSON — The regular monthly meeting of the Polson Rural Fire District Board of Trustees will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. at Fairgrounds Station No. 1 meeting room, 25-B Regatta Rd. Monthly and special meetings have changed their meeting times permanently to 6 p.m.

POLSON — The Marine Corps’ 242nd Birthday Celebration with a silent auction will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Polson VFW Post upstairs. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will go to the Hellroaring Detachment Scholarship Program. The evening begins with a no-host social hour at 6 p.m., a cake-cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., introductions at 6:45 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. This event is open to families and the public. The Award Ceremony and results of the silent auction will start at 8 p.m. This year’s dinner menu features a buffet consisting of prime rib and stuffed pork chop with all the trimmings. The event is open seating. Reservation seating is available for tables of eight. Please RSVP by Saturday, Nov. 4, if you wish to eat dinner.

POLSON – The Montecahto Club is holding a Holiday/Christmas Sale at their east shore clubhouse on Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The non-profit club will be selling high quality, lightly used Thanksgiving and Christmas items. The Montecahto clubhouse is located at mile-marker six on Highway 35, across the road and up the hill from the Finley Point Grill. See you there.

POLSON — The Polson High School Theater Production Club will present “Dr. Evil and the Basket of Kittens” on Nov. 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. at Polson High School. Admission costs $5 for school-aged children, $8 for adults and Pre-K children are free. There will be a bake sale during intermission.

POLSON — Become a volunteer CASA Advocate. Training with CASA of Lake and Sanders Counties will be offered Nov. 11, 18 and 25. Advocates are needed for abused and neglected children throughout Lake County. Call 406-883-0158 for more information.

POLSON — Join the Elks Lodge in honoring our veterans with a free breakfast for all veteran and active duty service men and women. Breakfast is from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

POLSON — An open gym will be held at Head Over Heels, 101 Whitewater Place, Suite B, to help students raise money for a trip to Washington D.C. and NYC. All proceeds raised go to the Ronan High School students within the Close Up Program. The event takes place on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m.-noon. The cost is $10 per person for non-members, $8 per person for members and parents are free with their paying children.

POLSON — Veterans will receive free admission to the Miracle of America Museum on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in commemoration of Veterans Day, previously known as Armistice Day. POLSON — Join the Lake County Democrats at the North Lake County Public Library in Polson on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. Greg McCormick, with the Flathead Lakers, will present the Laker produced film, "Oil and Water Don't Mix," spotlighting the hazards of rail transport of Bakken Oil along the Flathead River. POLSON — Shopping for technology for the holidays? North Lake County Public Library, 2 First Ave. E, will host a free class on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room. Specialist Heather Miles will present a session called “Holiday Shopping for Technology.” The class will offer information about what technology devices best fit your needs and the needs of those on your gift list. POLSON — Members of the Flathead Basin Commission will meet in Polson on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The morning portion of the meeting will focus on the FBC budget cuts being proposed by DNRC. In the afternoon, the FBC will focus on the AIS regulations and planning for the 2018 field season.
