Easter fun set for Polson
POLSON — A Polson Easter event will be held from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, at Super 1 Foods. The event includes a barbecue, Easter egg coloring, bake sale, face painting and fun games. At noon, 250 Easter baskets will be given away to children, who must be present to win. Olson’s collagraph print shop featured at Sandpiper
POLSON — Sandpiper Art Gallery will feature Olivia Olsen and her collagraph print workshop on Saturday, March 26, and Monday, March 28, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. Participants will create their own intaglio and relief prints from a collage of materials and textures glued to a hard surface, sealed, inked and run through a printing press. Siren to signal egg hunt start
POLSON — An Easter Egg Hunt will take place Saturday, March 26 at Boettcher Park for all ages up to fourth grade. The hunt starts at 10 a.m. sharp with the fire truck siren, and the Easter Bunny will be there, too. The Egg Hunt is put on by the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

Czech youth choir to entertain
POLSON — Mission Valley Live presents “Jitro” on Wednesday, March 30, at Polson High School. “Jitro” means “Daybreak” in Czech.
The group is an award-winning youth choir from Hradec Kralove, a town in the Czech Republic. Jitro is admired all over the world for their distinctive rich blend of sound and energetic vitality. For ticket information call 406-887-2739.

POLSON — The Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery will present a multi-media show featuring the artwork of students from local schools and their teachers. “Who’s Teaching Whom?” will be shown April 2-15 with a reception held on Friday, April 8. Christian Veterinary Missionary to speak
POLSON —Polson Community Church, 1814 First Street E, will have a guest speaker, Dr. Fred Van Gorkom, on Sunday, April 3, at 11 a.m. He will also speak at Seekers, an Adult Sunday School class, which starts at 9:45 a.m. In 1983, Fred went to Ethiopia with Christian Veterinary Mission. Hear his story at these gatherings. Anyone who is interested is invited to attend.

Humanities program offers two presentations
POLSON/ST. IGNATIUS — Samir Bitar will present “Perspectives on Islam,” in two locations on Friday, April 8. The first presentation is at 12:30 p.m. in the North Lake County Library conference room in Polson. The second presentation will begin with a potluck at 5:30 p.m. and then the presentation at 6 p.m. at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church, top of Post Creek Hill. Presentation to address resort tax
POLSON — On Friday, April 8, Jill Southerland will present a PowerPoint presentation on the proposed resort tax. She mentioned the committee is looking at a six-months tax. Come to the meeting to find out the dates the tax will be in effect, what will be taxed, and what might be the tax rate. She will also discuss what projects the tax will be used to fund, e.g. roads, parks, sewer plant, water wells, etc.
