Young Eagles given free airplane rides
POLSON — The EAA chapter 1122 will be giving free airplane rides (weather permitting) for kids, (Young Eagles), ages 8-17 at the Polson airport on Saturday, June 13, from 9-11 a.m. A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign up their child.

Combo shows off new bass player, new look
POLSON – Ken’s Country Combo will play at the Community Dance on Wednesday, June 17, at the Elks. The band has a new bass player and a new look. Come check them out. Bring a friend or two and join us from 7-10 p.m. Please bring a treat to share.

Western theme chosen for VBS
POLSON — Sonwest Roundup Vacation Bible School at Polson Alliance Church will have fun with games, crafts, songs, and more, all while learning about Christ in this western themed VBS. Chamber hosts annual ‘Chamber Blast’
POLSON — The Polson Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Chamber Blast” will be held on Saturday, June 20, at Big Sky Sporting Clays.
The event will start will a quick beginner’s shooting clinic, followed by a shooter’s safety briefing prior to the Sporting Clays Tournament. There will be a barbecue lunch and awards ceremony from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Cost is $110 per shooter or $330 per three-person team. Bring your shotgun, eye protection and ear protection. No experience is necessary. The registration deadline is June 15. Send payment to: Polson Chamber of Commerce, 418 Main Street, Polson, Montana 59860.

Festival provides food, family fun
POLSON — Food and western fun is waiting for everyone who comes to the Family Fun Festival on June 20. Come enjoy the Family Fun Festival at Polson Alliance Church from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be old-fashioned games, big toys, horse-drawn wagon rides, a barbecue, Indian tacos, and more.

POLSON — The City of Polson Economic Development Council has cancelled the Resort Tax Information Public Meeting scheduled for June 24, 2015. The meeting will be held in July. Please watch for upcoming notice of the public meeting.

POLSON — The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1122 in Polson will hold a potluck social meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, located at the Polson Airport at 6:30 p.m. The Chapter will provide burgers, hot dogs, and drinks, everyone is asked to bring a side dish, salad, or desert. Ice dump benefits Relay for Life
POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center providers and administrative team have agreed to “take one for the team,” to benefit the Lake County Relay for Life. Pledges can be made for $5 for or against any of the 13 caregivers at the St. Joseph front desk now through June 25. The doctors and administrators will then have the option of meeting the pledge or participating in the challenge Friday, June 26, at 5 p.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson. The Providence St. Joseph Medical Center Relay for Life teams thanks the community for your support of Relay for Life.
