Author reads at Ronan Library event
RONAN — On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Friends of Ronan Library will host author Carmine Mowbray of Polson. She will discuss and read from her book, “An Answering Flame: Horseback Nurse in an Adverse Land.” Come visit with the author at the Ronan Library from 6:30-8 p.m. All “Friends” events are open to the public.

RONAN — The Mission Valley sub-network of Missoula Businesswomen’s network is meeting on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Lake County Community Development Building, 407 W. Spaghetti dinner raises funds for senior nutrition program
RONAN —The nutrition program at the Mission Vallley Senior Citizens Center in Ronan, 528 Main St. (across from St. Luke Medical Center), is having a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Oct. 19, between 4-7 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, or $20 for a family. This fundraiser helps defray the cost of running the nutrition program for our seniors. All are invited to attend.

Ronan Faith Lutheran celebrates 75th anniversary
RONAN — The Ronan Faith Lutheran Church will celebrate its 85th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 20. The worship service begins at 10 a.m. with an ensemble of guitars, bass, drums and piano providing the music. Four former pastors and the bishop of the synod will be present and participating in the service.
Following the service there will be a dinner and an anniversary program. Each pastor will give a greeting and there will be a brief history of the church given. The program will conclude with entertainment and a “jar” raffle. If anyone wishes to attend the dinner, please call the church to sign up.
