Arlee firefighters host annual breakfast, auction fundraiser
ARLEE — The Arlee Volunteer Firefighters are expected to serve hundreds of people at their annual pancake breakfast and silent auction beginning at 6 a.m. on the 4th of July. Arlee Museum opens July 4
ARLEE — The Arlee Museum will have its grand opening on the 4th of July. There will be a new display of Montana archaeological finds and the history of Glacier National Park. The museum will be open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on July 4.
Arlee parade named ‘Let Freedom Ring’
ARLEE — The Arlee parade starts at noon. Plan to be at Arlee High School between 10:30-11 a.m. to lineup and sign up. This year’s parade theme is “Let Freedom Ring. Categories competing in the parade: best Indian regalia for group, adult, child; and best western group, adult, and child.

Fundraiser for group heading to Africa
POLSON — A fundraiser, including root beer floats and a silent auction will be held at Glacier Brewery, 6 Tenth Ave., on July 4, after the parade. This is for a Polson group heading to South Africa to build a home for a family caring for children orphaned by the AIDS crisis. They will work with Mosaic (www.mosaicsa.org).

POLSON — The Polson Historical Museum on Main Street will hold their annual ice cream social on July 4, following the Polson 4th of July parade.
Polson plans full agenda for the Fourth of July
POLSON — Polson’s 4th of July Parade will begin at noon on Thursday, July 4. Entry forms for the parade can be picked up at Polson Chamber of Commerce office. Completed forms should be returned to the chamber office at 418 Main St. by July 3. The Polson Chamber of Commerce will have a fireworks fundraising lemonade and bake sale to help support the 2013 Fireworks Display. The fundraiser will be in the front yard of the Polson Chamber building from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on July 4. Polson’s fifth annual “Firecracker 1 Mile Fun Run” will start at 11:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center. The cost is a non-perishable food item to be donated to Polson Loaves and Fishes. Bri’s Memorial Run/Walk proceeds to help family
POLSON — Bri’s 5K Memorial Run/Walk will be held Saturday, July 6, beginning at 9 a.m. at Polson High School. This event is in memory of Brianne Paro-Sias Pacheco, a PHS Class of 1998 graduate. Everyone is welcome, runners, walkers, or simply supporters. A memorial tribute will follow the run at the Polson High School Stadium. Registration is $25. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Bri’s husband and three daughters. Churches invite children to summer event
POLSON — The United Methodist Church, the Presbyterian Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church invite children to ‘Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God.” This summer kids’ event takes place in Polson and will be hosted at United Methodist Church from July 8 - July 12. Kids at Kingdom Rock will join an international missions effort to share God’s love with children in India. Kingdom Rock is for kids from preschool to sixth grade. Concert to support Boys and Girls Club
RONAN — The Bus Driver Tour concert will return this year to Ronan City Park on July 10 as a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County.
Danny Freund, Paul Kupher and Ian Thomas will play ragtime, folk, blues, bluegrass and jug band music at this family event. Bring family, friends, a blanket and/or a chair. Wrestling camp open to all students
ST. IGNATIUS — Iron Dog Wrestling Camp, scheduled for July 15- 17 at St. Ignatius High School, has two sessions each day. One from 9 a.m.-noon and another from 1-4 p.m. The camp is open to students k-12, costs $35 and includes a T-shirt and lunches.
The camp features several former and current college All Americans.
