PABLO – Native American Awareness Days, at the People’s Center in Pablo, is the week of Sept. 17-20. Open to the public, the event’s purpose is to educate the community on lifestyles and history of the Salish, Kootenai and Pend d’ Oreille people. POLSON — Constitution Day, called on some calendars Citizenship Day, is Tuesday, Sept. 17. The Miracle of America Museum will stay open until 7 pm that day and is offering lecture tours of the Revolutionary War display and the Constitution Displays at no extra cost. Free pocket copies of the Constitution will be given to participants.

PABLO — Lake County Democrats’ monthly meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 18. in the Michel Building at Salish Kootenai College. The meeting will focus on a variety of education issues in Montana. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a social followed by a brief business meeting at 7 p.m. The program includes a panel discussion by local educators. The public is welcome.
