Cherry Valley recently restarted a music program. It has been since the early 2000s that music has been formally taught to our youngest learners. A staffing reconfiguration provided an opportunity to kick-start the new program. Former first grade Cherry Valley teacher Whitney Buchmann is leading the way in our inaugural year. Mrs. Buchmann has been tasked with choosing a music curriculum appropriate for our kindergarten and first-grade students, selecting instruments that complement the curriculum, and designing a space that is conducive to learning.
