Bereavement group set to begin in Polson

POLSON — An eight-week Bereavement Support Group series for adults grieving the death of a loved one is offered Wednesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. from Sept. 28-Nov. 16, at the O’Maley conference room on the second floor of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. The group meets once a week. The meetings include education about grief and loss and provide participants an opportunity to share their experiences. It is recommended that participants wait at least two months after a death before attending a group. This group is free and open to the public. Registration is required by Sept. 23. Group size is limited. Council on Aging offers services

LAKE COUNTY— The Lake County council on Aging provides homemaking services, which include light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping. All services are offered on a sliding scale based on income. Respite, an in-home service provided to caregivers to temporarily relieve them of caring for their loved ones, is also offered. This service helps support family and informal caregivers in taking care of themselves.

The LCCOA transportation is available to all residents of Lake County and provides rides to medical appointments, shopping and social appointments. Trips to Missoula and Kalispell are available with 48 hours notice. For information or to setup appointments, call 406-676-2367 or for transportation call 406-676-2368.

Celebrate grandparents with Ronan seniors

RONAN — National Grandparent Day is Sunday, Sept. 11. Celebrate with us on Monday, Sept. 12, by taking an hour off and bringing your grandparent to lunch at Mission Valley Senior Citizens Center, 528 Main Street SW in Ronan. We will serve a ham dinner, salads, veggies, fruit, drinks and dessert. The cost: $4 for those over 60 years old and $5 for those under 60 years old. Lunch is served at noon.
