Editor,

I’m writing to you to register my opinion on the Kathie Sammons issue. If anyone else would have been caught on the lamb (escaping) doing what she had done they would have been serving a minimum of 15 years at Deerlodge.

There is a direct comparison to the Casey Anthony case. She did the deed – but she’s getting off Scott free. It makes you wonder what was in the mind of the judge when sentencing. Was there something he knew that we (the public) didn’t know?

It makes embezzlement, even with big money, not such a bad risk. $400 a month restitution is kind of like a student loan.

We, as a society, imprison people because they harmlessly smoke an herb that Mother God has provided and caused no harm or hurt to anyone, yet we release and apparently condone the stealing of $676,872 from individuals at a credit union. Interesting.
