POLSON — It’s time to pass the torch along to someone who’s more stable who will treat my ladies as I did … as much as he is able.
At home I’ll strive to not incur the wrath of Honey Bunch who says we wed for better or for worse … but, Lordy, not for lunch.
Bridge results for Friday, Sept. 15, were not available earlier but Myrna Holley and Twyla Shear were either dealt good hands or played bad hands well. Myrna again came out on top last Friday with Rosemary McLean coming in a close second.
Senior bowling has started again with familiar names showing their stuff. Cris Alter and Bob Elsberry had high games. The same two also had the high series. High handicap series winners were Fran Basta and Tim Basta.
Thank you Dave and Sue Nash for the eggs and your support. Also thanks to Link (last name unknown) who brings in eggs. Stop long enough to introduce yourself.
Flu shots will be available on Friday, Sept. 29, at our center.
The lunch menu for the coming week:
— Thursday, Sept. 28: sack lunch surprise
— Friday, Sept. 29: baked Mac fish
— Monday, Oct. 2: spaghetti
— Tuesday, Oct. 3: pork cutlets
— Wednesday, Oct. 4: turkey pot pie
All meals include vegetables and a dessert.
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
