LAKE COUNTY — It’s that time of year again. People age 60 or older, within certain income guidelines, are eligible for $50 coupons to spend at Lake County farmer’s markets. You can purchase Montana grown vegetables, fruit, cut herbs and raw honey with the coupons. We are encouraging seniors to sign up for this program through the mail and have a proxy pick up their coupons and produce for them. If a senior is coming to the market themselves, we encourage the use of a mask and frequent hand sanitizing. Staff from the Lake County Council on Aging will be at the following markets to help fill out applications and hand out coupons:

—  The Mission Falls Market in St. Ignatius from 5-7 at the Good Old Days Park on June 19 and 26

—  The Ronan Farmers Market from 4-7 p.m. at the Visitors Center on June 19 and 26

—  The Polson Farmers Market from 9-1 located on Main Street and Fourth Ave. on June 19 and 26

If you would like an application mailed to you or have additional questions, please call us at 406-676-2367.
