POLSON — The Polson Senior Center will be closed on Nov. 24 and 25. Have a great Thanksgiving Day and weekend. We will reopen on Monday, Nov. 28.

See’s Candy has arrived and we have a variety of choices. Give one away, keep the others for yourself; there’s a limited supply.  

Mid-Term elections are over. Stay vigilant. Be aware. Congratulations to those elected to office. In your positions please be sensitive to the needs of the senior citizens and others, (all of them), that you represent. 

Driftwood Arts/Crafts is sponsoring a meet and greet for those interested in driftwood art training on Nov. 18 at 12:30 p.m. at the center.  

ACTIVITIES:  All activities are open to all. Get active and meet some people. Have fun.

Bowling: Fun league, pay by the day - non-sanctioned, no-tap, Tuesdays, 1 p.m. weekly 

Bingo: Friday, 7 p.m. playing card bingo first Wednesday and third Thursday

Exercise for mobility: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, 10:30–11:30 a.m.

Pinochle: Thursdays, 12:30-3 p.m. (earlier or later if you wish)  

Bridge: Tuesdays and Fridays at 12:30 p.m. open for all  

Pool: open table from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays

Veterans’ Rep: first Friday, (Dec. 2) and third Tuesday, (Nov. 15) from 10 a.m.-noon.    

 Menu (subject to change):  Sit-down, take-out, or delivery, only $5 from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

 —  Wednesday, Nov. 16: chicken Alfredo, pasta, beets, pear salad, cinnamon coffee cake

  —  Thursday, Nov. 17: chilly Dogs (it’s Nov.!), onion, cheese and peas, please, sour kraut salad, lemon bars 

  —  Friday, Nov. 18: birthday dinner for lunch, Thanksgiving feast - roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potato, gravy, green bean casserole, pies If you were born in November, you get the spotlight. The fire marshal says no candles - flashlights OK.

  —  Monday, Nov. 21: clam chowder, roll, green salad, mandarin oranges

  —  Tuesday, Nov. 22: submarine sandwiches, lettuce, tomato, cheese, Watergate salad, banana pudding

  —  Wednesday, Nov. 23: meatloaf, mashed spuds, gravy, buttered corn, green salad, apple cake 

  —  Thursday, Thanksgiving Day: closed until Monday - special thanks to the employees, officers, and volunteers serving the seniors in our community 

Meals: 

  —  Friday, Nov. 25: closed

  —  Monday, Nov. 28: turkey/rice soup, focaccia, green salad, cinnamon apple sauce 

  —  Tuesday, Nov. 29: beef Stroganoff, pasta, mixed veggies, coleslaw, cookies

  —  Wednesday, Nov. 30: chicken enchiladas, refried beans, salsa, corn salad, fruit crisp
