POLSON — I have barely recovered from that semi-annual time change event. I have enough trouble with the changes of seasons. Jumping an hour forward or backward has a negative effect on the sleep patterns for kids, pets and everyone else. I am ok for about five months then it messes with me all over again. What does it take to end this madness? An Act of Congress? Good Luck with that. They can’t make up their minds about anything, including the time of day.
Nov. 11 is Veterans Day. Thank a vet today and every day. The local VFW has room to store additional wheelchairs for use by those in need. Deliver chairs to the Senior Center or the VFW Club at 423 Main. Call for pick-up. We will be closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
We have added another meal delivery route and need more volunteer drivers -one day, or a few days. Routes take 45-60 minutes with 8 –14 meal deliveries, depending on route. New drivers get shorter routes. If you are not sure, you may want to ride along with the regular driver to get an idea about routes and delivery procedures. It is not complicated. Routes take place between 10:45 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday.
