McCrea awaits sentencing for drug charge

Saylah Jessica McCrea, 28, of Ronan pleaded guilty at District Court in Polson on June 11 to felony criminal possession dangerous drugs.  After midnight on July 28, 2018, a Ronan Police Officer was on patrol when he noticed a car parked in the parking lot of a local church, according to records. In the past, church members told Ronan police that there should not be any cars in the parking lot during overnight hours. The officer approached the car and identified the driver as McCrea. The officer eventually searched the vehicle and found a small amount of heroin wrapped in tinfoil. Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher set a sentencing date for July 30.
